Time of Life
In the flicker of an eyelid the world unfolds
Seconds turn to minutes and days turn into years
We stream through our lives but often in despair
Trying to make time for everything, but the moment disappears
Our vision eludes the blossoming, the twinkle, the laughter and smiles
As bubbles of unnoticed instances, lay stagnant in memories untold
Awakening of age finds us perplexed in the ravages of life
Precious moments lost in return of fool’s gold
So, this year I wish
Let us embrace our past with bittersweet memories
and yearn for what the future beholds …
